3 Eyeliner Trends You Gotta Try

In case you don’t know, I’ve always loved a good liner.  To me, I feel it really defines my eyes.  My usual go-to is a felt-tip liquid pen that is easy to use and I can maneuver at the wee hours of the morning.  But that doesn’t mean I don’t like to try new things.  My newest obsession is colored liner.  Yes!  I’m so reliving my 90s youth.  Except now I’m playing with other colors besides electric blue.  My newest buy is NYX’s Midnight Chaos in Rust.  It’s this deep, orange-red matte liquid liner on one end and a holographic top coat on the other.  That’s where the 90s vibe comes from.  You remember those holographic accessories and backpack purses from Claire’s?  Totally rocked those.  I chose Rust because it just looked so Fall ready, I had to have it.  The second trend is not anything new but is always classic.  A nice, bold, thick winged look.  The gel eyeliner from Maybelline let’s you add as much product as you want on the applicator and glides easily across your lids.  Pair this look with a bold red lip and you will look amazing!!  The only problem I had was with not knowing how much product was actually on the applicator.  I would swipe it across the container but when you apply, depending on how firmly you’re pressing, it’s difficult to gauge how much goes on.  The result?  Too much product on the inner corners of the eye and now you’re left having to strategically remove the excess with a Q-tip.  But practice, practice, practice and you’ll get it.  I am determined to master this gel liner.  The third trend is from Lottie’s Stamp Liner.  GENIUS!!  Why haven’t I seen this before?  This duo pen has a pointed felt tip on one side and a winged stamp on the other.  That way you can just stamp your wing on the outer corners of your lid.  They also have a variety of stamps like a heart shape, moon, music note and star.  The website says it’s sold out, but I found a few at my nearest ULTA.  Below is my first attempt to try the Lottie Stamp Liner.  I laughed, I cried, it was a good time.  Again, you need to practice with this one to really get the stamp correctly.  Enjoy some of my epic fails.
