5-minute Makeup Look for When You’re In a Rush

Most mornings you’ll find me hitting the snooze button for the third time before I’m jumping out of bed, late and in a rush. I run downstairs to make Olivia’s lunch for school and then it’s maybe 25-30 minutes to get ready for work. My makeup routine has to be quick & easy yet presentable.

My go-to look is pretty similar every day.

Foundation, blush, a neutral shadow with mascara topped off with a colored lip. I usually start by running a cotton ball soaked in witch hazel all over my face to cleanse. This gets any dirt and oil from overnight off my face. Then I apply a primer, NYX’s Shine Killer. I follow up with my latest foundation find, Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay In Place in the color Bone. This foundation medium coverage and helps keep the shine away. Some days, when I want to get a nice bronze glow I’ll also apply L’oreal’s Lumi Bronzer around my hairline and temples and follow down to my neck.

Next is my eye makeup

I start by filling in my brows with Maybelline’s Tattoo Studio Gel — love that this gel stays in place and does not rub off. Then I move over to my lids and use my Aspyn Ovard x Tarte palette. I love, love, love this palette because the eye shadows are several neutral, matte shades with a few shimmery shades. They are perfect for spring and summer. There is also a gorgeous blush and highlighter that I use often. I tend to gravitate towards using Santorini Sands all over my lid followed by Tea Time in the crease and lower lash line.

Great neutral and subtle smoky eye look. I’m super bummed that it is no longer available, but here’s one with similar hues you may like. You could use S’more and Latte to recreate a similar look. I then apply my Maybelline’s Total Temptation mascara. The wand is great for building up the product on your lashes and making them really pop.

I love a good rosy cheek

I use the blush on my Tarte palette called Made You Blush. Because it’s discontinued, I would also recommend using Morphe’s Blushing Babes Trio. I often use Legendary and Driven when I want a bit of a sparkle. Then I finish off the look with one of my many lippies. My latest obsession is the NYX Powder Puff Lippie Collection. I love the hues and the applicator is great for applying this matte, silky product. Leaves your lips matte, but still hydrated. In the video, I’m wearing Squad Goals. This is definitely one of my favorite looks because it’s put together, easy and can be adjusted with some many other colors. If you wanted to go for a darker, smoky eye you could just tone down the lip to a more neutral tone and it will still look amazing. Hope you enjoy this look. Thanks for watching!
