Love them or leave them, there is no denying biker shorts have been a major trend the past couple of years; so why stop now? I’m sharing 4 ways to take your favorite biker shorts straight into fall.
The weather starts to turn during fall so a light cardigan or blazer works excellent to keep you comfortable. Luckily, it’s not too cold so you can still wear cute heels or sandals.

To style biker shorts, you want to keep in mind that your bottom half will not leave much to the imagination — that’s just how biker shorts are made. So if you want to keep it modest, I suggest outerwear that covers some or all of your backside.
Long cardigans are going to be ideal. Blazers will dress up your look and also give it some structure. An oversized tee or sweatshirt will keep this look comfy and sporty. You definitely can’t go wrong with an oversized tee or pullover this fall season.
How to Style Biker Shorts
Pair black biker shorts with a plaid tunic and faux-leather jacket for a bit of a grunge or rocker chic look. To keep the look from being too tough, I paired it with 90s-style, square-toe black heels.
Another hot trend this spring/summer is utilitarian outfits. I really like pairing a utility jacket with these shorts. The boxy, neutral material along with the cinched waist mixes both a feminine and masculine feel. Pair with strappy heels to dress up the look.
Next, keep it comfortable with an oversized or cropped pullover and sneakers. You may also pair biker shorts with an oversized tee if it’s still too warm where you live. Instead of sneakers, you could also pair this look with some Birkenstock-styled sandals. Finish the look with a belt bag either around your waist or across your chest.
For those chilly fall days, pair your biker shorts with a cardigan. Depending on the weather, you may opt for mules if it’s too cold, or sandals, like these snake print slides, for warmer days. A big, chunky cardigan pairs great with biker shorts creating a great juxtaposition.
