My work-week makeup consisted of a full-coverage foundation to hide discoloration and imperfections. My go-to foundation doesn’t have SPF, so I layer it on top of my sunscreen. In an effort to minimize my morning routine, I decided to try out It Cosmetics’ new Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer with SPF 50.

I have a love/hate relationship with SPF and my makeup because of my oily skin. I know I need to apply SPF daily (more on the importance of SPF here), but sometimes it would not sit well with my foundation or it would make my skin extra shiny.
I’ve been using Supergoop’s Smooth & Poreless tinted suncreen. The formula goes on silky smooth and gives me minimal coverage. You can still see some discoloration but, for weekends that you don’t want to layer on the makeup, it works great. It also has SPF 40 with physical barriers like Zinc Oxide and is great for oily skin as it has a matte finish.
It Cosmetics’ Bye Bye Foundation Review
I purchased It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation at Ulta for about $40. It contains two physical suncreen barriers, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide. Like all sunscreens, you want to apply it at least 15 minutes before sun exposure.
Bye Bye Foundation comes in 12 shades; I purchased fair light. The product goes on smooth and blends great with my skin. It set great and didn’t crease into my fine lines and wrinkles.
It also minimized the large pores on my T-zone, which is great news. Although it didn’t completely hide them, a pore-minimizing primer may do the trick.
Also, you want to reapply sunscreen throughout the day for maximum benefit and protection. I usually don’t like to reapply any liquid makeup or sun protection after I’ve done my face. That’s why I’m so happy I came across Supergoop’s Invincible Setting Powder. It has SPF 45 and comes in a case with applicator so you can just throw it in your bag and reapply throughout the day.
