Finding a good pair of jeans is hard, so when Mott & Bow reached out* for me to try their denim I jumped at the chance. I’m a denim lover through and through, and always on the hunt for a great pair of jeans. I’m so excited to try out Mott & Bow’s high-rise skinny jeans and give my honest review.

After reading a bit into the company’s background, I was so impressed to learn the intricate detail that goes into each pair of denim. The brand also has its share of elevated, minimal basics from tees to sweaters; great staples for every closet.

Mott & Bow’s philosophy centers around providing premium-grade denim at affordable prices. I love my jeans, but I refuse to shell out $300 for amazing denim. Mott & Bow’s denim for men and women price at about $100 – $130; a great price for jeans you’ll wear over and over again.
Mott & Bow Jeans – Fit
My biggest concern when searching for denim is the fit. I have wide hips and a smaller waist. Because of this, I prefer high-waisted denim. This allows for a comfortable fit as the jeans sit above my hip bone. If they don’t, then I’m spending my day continuously having to pull them up by the belt loops.
It can get really annoying and uncomfortable to always fidget with my clothing. Denim should definitely be comfortable and unrestricted.
I ordered the high-rise skinny bond jeans in black size 28. As soon as I tried on the pair, I was in love — no lie! They fit like a glove. I loved that they sat aligned with my belly button and hugged the hips. The length was also great. You can order a 28″ or 30″ inseam. I got the 28″ inseam. I’m 5’6″ and the hem hit right above my ankle.
The next thing I noticed was how slim my legs looked. Maybe it was the black material. Whatever it was I loved how long and lean my legs looked. The fabric is also a deep black color. It looks rich and deep making this pair look super expensive and chic.
They also have a slight stretch for added comfort. The first time I wore them was while running errands with my family. I need clothes that allow me to keep up with my kids and make squatting down to pick up my 3-year-old fairly easy — they passed!
Mott & Bow Jeans Styles
I prefer high-waisted skinny jeans because they do a great job of hiding the dreaded mommy pooch. Skinny jeans are a flattering cut for my body type and pair well with a flowy top or sweaters. They’re also great at highlighting a cute heel.
High-rise skinny jeans also create the illusion of longer legs and these jeans definitely achieved that. Mott & Bow skinny jeans are definitely a winner, but they have other styles too. Check out their mom jeans and slim boyfriend jeans here.
Mott & Bow also offers comfy tees, sweaters, and jackets. I’m wearing a fitted v-neck tee in heather grey. The silky soft material feels like your favorite worn lounge tee. Super comfortable and it’s been pre-shrunk so you don’t have to worry about it in the wash. I kind of wished I had sized up to a large for a looser fit but this one was great for layering underneath the sweater.
My sweater is the Cashmere Raglan Crew Cambridge in cream — available in 8 other colors. I’m wearing a size medium. The super-soft, mid-weight sweater knit is perfect to wear year-round. It’s so soft to the touch and is pill-resistant.
I am really happy that I was able to give these jeans a test run and they passed with flying colors!! Mott & Bow have been so kind as to extend a 10% discount code for first-time customers to use one time — use code MARIA at check out to them out yourself.
