A new multi-use development held a grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting for it’s first tenants on March 29th. The movie theater, AMC Metropark Square 10, officially opened its doors on March 1st. The 41,500-square-foot theater has 10 screens including the latest in Dolby Cinema and includes IMAX with Laser projection to enhance moviegoers cinema experience.
The theater is the first anchor tenant for the Dallas-based developer, Sam Moon Group, and is the first movie theater in the City of Shenandoah. The 70-acre property will also include a 160-room Hyatt House and a Dave & Buster’s set to open later this year.
Also in the works is a mid-rise housing development called The Residences At Metropark. The project will include 324-units, 2-level fitness center, pool, indoor & outdoor community center and retail space on the first floor.
The upscale, mixed-use development is located north of Houston. Metropark Square also has plans to open restaurants and other retail shops all set to surround a central lawn space which includes a pavilion, fountain and outdoor event space great for the whole family.
