I’ve purchased items before just because everyone was buying them and, let me tell you, what works on someone else may not work for you.
Only you know what looks good on your frame and what your style is so don’t be afraid to stand out. My style has been all over the place these past few years. Mainly because I was trying to jump on trends that I saw other bloggers wearing.
I look back and cringe. Lesson learned! Now I stick with what I feel most comfortable in and that is neutrals. Neutrals are a sure thing for extending the life of your wardrobe. With so many possible outfit combinations, neutrals allow me to get more bang for my buck.
Some of the items are from previous Nordstrom Sale, but I have linked (affiliate links) similar items. Again, this is more of a reference style guide to help you wear similar items.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Style Guide
Here are six outfits I can’t wait to wear this fall.
Nordstrom Item: Sam Edelman Ollie Boot
I have been on the hunt for cream-colored tall boots for few years now. When I saw these Sam Edelman Ollie boots, I immediately added them to my wish list. I was super happy that they weren’t sold out, because I know they would be a favorite. I paired them here with skinny jeans and a simple, crew neck sweater.
Nordstrom Item: Faux Leather Dress
If it’s one thing that I saw a ton of this year it’s faux leather. From jackets, pants, shirts, and dresses, faux leather is definitely the material of the season. I love, love (did I say love?) faux leather. When I first saw this dress during last year’s Nsale, I jumped at the chance to get it.
I paired them here with simple, 90s-inspired heels for late summer. You can easily swap heels for a tall boot or bootie to bring this dress into fall. Add a cute hat and you’re set.
Nordstrom Item: Faux Leather Leggings
There’s that faux leather again! These are definitely bestsellers during the Nordstrom Sale. The one’s I’m wearing here are not Spanx, but are similar material. I’m sure Spanx has more of a compressed feel, but either way, faux leather leggings are definitely an item you’ll want to add to your closet.
Nordstrom Item: Midi Knit Dress
This Topshop dress was another Nsale favorite last year. It has long sleeves and very cozy for fall. It has slits on both sides and belted tie.
I paired it here with a trench coat and sneakers for an elevated athleisure look.
Nordstorm Item: Faux Leather Jacket
I’m starting to see a pattern here! If you haven’t already, you MUST add a faux leather jacket to your fall wardrobe rotation. I’ve had this Topshop jacket for years and constantly wear it when the weather gets cooler. I love the moto jacket look.
There are so many style combinations you can do with am edgy moto jacket.
Nordstrom Item: Zella Live in High Waist Leggings
I was definitely overdue for some black leggings. The two pair I have from Fabletics are easily over 5 years old. So when the sale came around, I jumped at the chance to try the leggings I hear everyone talk about. Luckily, the hype was real!
These fit amazing and I love how they feel. I paired them here with Nike sneakers that I also nabbed during this year’s Nsale. Throw on a white tank and jacket on top and you just totally elevated your athleisure look.
I hope you found some inspiration in this Nordstrom Sale style guide. I always try to get the most use out of my clothing and make sure I can stretch my money the best way. No reason to splurge (unless you want to) on all expensive clothing. I hope this post shows you that it’s easy to pair investment pieces with more affordable items.
The best advice is to know your personal style. It’s easy to get trapped into buying what is popular, but only you know what makes you comfortable.
