Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try-On

I’ve received about 75% of my purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I couldn’t wait to try everything on. My main concern is to see how versatile each piece is and how many wears I can get out of them.

The last thing I want to do is spend my hard-earn money on piece that I would just get one wear. I have a red velvet top that I purchased last fall from Express and it still has the tag on it. Will I wear it this fall?? Who knows. I’ve posted it on Poshmark to see if I could make something back from it, but that is exactly what I didn’t want to happen this time around.

I’m very happy with most of the items I purchased. I did send back a pair of booties because they just didn’t look right on me and I know that it was a bit out of my style preference. I also returned a felt fedora because it was damaged during shipping. It wasn’t something that I was ga-ga for so I didn’t bother looking to replace it when I visited the store this past weekend.

To be honest, when I arrived at Nordstrom for my returns, I was really over the whole sale. I had seen so many items while browsing online that I needed a break. I tried hard to bring you all some items that you wouldn’t see on every other bloggers’ page and some items that were underrated.

Here are a few looks that I’ve put together to help you get an idea of how you can style these pieces.

Snake Print is IN!

I am so in love with these flats!! They are snake print and have small spikes all over. They also come in black and these will definitely be on repeat all season. The cardigan is also a great staple item for fall. Transition a sleeve-less dress by layering this on top to keep you warm. This cardigan comes in multiple colors but as of this post they are down to a black, rust yellow, and red. But make sure to keep an eye out as most items get re-stocked throughout the sale.

A Little Bit Rock N Roll

Next, is this super soft and edgy faux-leather moto jacket. It has knitted, ribbed panels under the sleeves for added comfort and flexibility. The draped lapels also add an edgy flair and this blush pink adds a hint of femininity. It’s also available in smokey brown. I paired it with a long-sleeved top from Topshop. I sized up but it was still a tad too fitted, so it’s going back. The shoes are from Halogen and I actually purchased them last year. They are back on sale, this time in white, chesnut and snake print.

Add A Pop of Print to Simple Outfits

My last outfit is this tie-front, long-sleeved knit midi dress from Topshop. It is also available in a rust orange color, both perfect for fall. They are currently sold out, as of this post, but they may re-stock so keep an eye out. I would size up. Topshop sizes are not exactly like those in the US. I’m usually a size 4 but this dress is says 6US and I actually think I may size up to an 8 if it comes back in stock. The 8 would give me a little more relaxed fit. I paired it with these Jeffrey Campbell booties that were just oh so bad ass, I couldn’t pass them up! They are the perfect ankle height. I love the color of the snake print and feel like these will be a few wears this season.
