I’m so excited to finally start wearing sandals again, and I can’t wait to share these cute spring sandal trends for 2021. This season is unlike years past and there are so many new trends that I know you’ll love.

You don’t have to try every single one, but I think it’s fun to incorporate a new trend during a new season to spice up your wardrobe. Here are a few I’m really loving lately.
Woven & Braided Styles
First up, is the woven style sandal. These are super functional and look so adorable. I love the textural design and the woven material makes these look expensive but they really don’t have to be. We’ve seen this look in a ton of heels this past fall, but for spring 2021 we’re taking it down low in a comfortable slide. I found these for only $25 and they come in very spring-friendly colors.
Chunky Hardware Styles
Next up, are sandals with big, chunky hardware. I’ve seen a ton of chainlink and big, round studs. The spring runways had tons of chunky and oversized jewelry, especially chained necklaces. It was only a matter of time until that same trend translated to footwear. I love these because they paired the chunky chain with tweed for a darling combo.
Jewels & Baubles Styles
Another spring sandal trend for 2021 is the bejeweled sandals. You’ll also see big pearl details with this trend. Again, take jewelry-focused materials and put them on your feet. These pearl slides are a great upgrade from Birkenstocks if you’re looking for a bulky type of sandal.
Camp-Ready Styles
These sandals bring back a 90s nostalgic feel, but they have definitely received a much-needed makeover. What was once the go-to footwear for spring or summer campers, was now all over the spring runways. And now you don’t have to hit the dusty trail to don this Teva-inspired trend. Here’s a few that I thought were so cute with their upgrade material and fabrics.
Padded Styles
And finally, we have the padded style. I love this style and there are so many variations of this trend. I found these super comfortable crossband slides at Target for $15!! They look very similar to these at over four times the price.
The padded sandals are comfortable and I love any shoe trend that makes my feet look smaller. Something about big, full materials just make my size 10 (my feet grew a whole shoe size after both my pregnancies) feet look a tad bit cuter.
I hope this post gave you some inspiration to update your spring sandal collection. I know I tend to go overboard with sandals, but living in Houston, the weather permits wearing them almost year round.
