In my experience, dresses and shorts are great options for staying cool in the summer. Dresses are particularly versatile, easy to style, and less restrictive than pants or shorts.

SUMMER DRESSES

These dresses from H&M are perfect for a beach vacation. Loving the tropical vibe and if you like the print, you can get it in just about anything. They have similar skirts, dresses, and bottoms with these prints.

SUMMER TOPS

Whether you’re looking for something to show off your shoulders or something a little more covered up, the material is going to play a big role in finding the perfect top.

The first is a halter-top bodysuit made of recycled polyester. While polyester may not be the most ideal material for the summer, it does give a more luxe look.

In the center, a collared top made of 53% recycled polyester and 47% viscose. This H&M viscose shirt is a great material for the summer since it is breathable and drapes really nicely.

Finally, the third top is a smocked top. This top is made of 73% viscose and is a great option for a summer date night outfit. The light colors and the sheer puff sleeves are romantic and feminine.

SUMMER SHORTS & SKIRTS

H&M bottoms can be a little tricky to navigate. I found that I have to size up 2 sizes on some bottoms for them to fit correctly. The following outfits were a little more true to size. I did grab some denim shorts that were a little snug even after sizing up one.

The first item is a faux wrap skirt. It ties on the side and has a deep v-slit in the center. I did feel like it could be a little revealing if you were to be moving around a lot. The skirt would be great for a swimsuit cover-up.

I paired the skirt with a blue tank top. This tank comes in a ton of colors and retails at $9.99.

The linen shorts were a great find. I love the color and that it had belt loops.
