Chances are you’ve seen the gorgeous Olivia Wilde promoting True Botanicals on television. And, let’s be honest, the girl has some gorgeous skin!
She, along with celebrities like Laura Dern and Brooke Shields, serve as brand ambassadors and I think we can all agree that the facial glow radiating from my television screen is undeniable.
If you had asked me about my favorite facial oil 10 years ago, I would have looked at you sideways. With my acne-riddled face, there was no way I was putting oil on my face.
Now, you can find the True Botanicals Renew Pure Radiance Oil on my face just about every night!
Now, full disclaimer, the brand did gift me this product, but I am in no way obligated to share it and, of course, all opinions are my own.

True Botanicals Pure Radiance Facial Oil
True Botanical’s best-selling face oil is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while increasing hydration for dry skin.
The brand conducted clinical trials based on a 45-day study of 20 women ages 30-60 who used the product twice a day. According to the study, 100% of women saw more luminous skin, a reduction in the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and improved hydration.
The True Botanicals Renew Pure Radiance Oil is made up of a blend of vegan ingredients like a blend of Omega 3 essential fatty acids, 14 seed oils, algae extract, and astaxanthin, which helps deliver more hydration by visibly plumping the skin.
Some of the types of seed oils are chia seed, kiwi seed oils, passion fruit and papaya seed oil.
The oils are scented with jasmine, neroli, and rose. They are also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic – acne sufferers rejoice!
The full-size bottle (1 fl oz | 30 ml) of Pure Radiance Oil will cost you $110. True Botanicals does offer a 15% discount on their site if you subscribe to a monthly plan. You can choose from 1,2,3, or 4-month frequencies.

Three types of pure radiance oil – clear, calm, and renew
There are three types of True Botanicals Pure Radiance Oil all designed to target different skin concerns.
- Renew – The Renew line is perfect for anti-aging, fine lines, and wrinkles and to help with dullness.
- Clear – The clear line is best for those experiencing breakouts and uneven skin tone and roughness. It also helps target fine lines and wrinkles.
- Calm– The calm line is formulated to help those with redness and rosacea-prone skin.
How do you use the radiance oil?
In the mornings, apply 3-8 drops to moist skin followed by sunscreen. For nighttime skincare, I find it best to apply it after my serums. I apply 3-5 drops to lock in moisture. If you have oily skin, you may want to use it only at night.
Does True Botanicals Radiance oil expire?
According to the packaging, the Radiance Facial Oil expires or may lose efficacy 12 months after the bottle is opened. Read more about beauty expiration dates here.
Where do I incorporate this into my routine?
AM: After cleansing, toning/misting, but before applying sun protection.
PM: After cleansing, toning/mist, and serums.
Does this oil really replace my moisturizer?
According to True Botanicals – Yes! This nutrient-rich, anti-aging face oil is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and increase hydration levels — it even outperformed a leading anti-aging moisturizer.
For added hydration, you could layer some moisturizer underneath the oil.
Is the facial oil fragrance-free?
True Botanicals uses natural scents such as jasmine, neroli, and rose in their facial oils.
Where to buy True Botanicals oil?
You can find True Botanicals Radiance Oil at TrueBotanicals.com and Nordstrom.
THE VERDICT: In short, YES! The Renew Facial Oil I tested out targets fine lines and is anti-aging. What I will say, is that my skin definitely felt more hydrated and soft.
I also noticed a more even skin tone. Not only is the Pure Radiance Facial Oil effective at keeping skin hydrated and plump, but the best part is you don’t have to use too much product.
That means the 1 fl. oz. full-size bottle can easily last you a couple of months.
